Eastbridge Books is an imprint of Camphor Press focused on translated and academic works as well as reprints of classic books on Asia.
Founded in the United States in 1997 as a not-for-profit press by J.C. West, A.S. Kaufmann, and J.M. Borton, Eastbridge published over fifty titles during the next ten years. With imprints covering Signature books (edited by J. Clayton West), classic reprints (edited by Charles W. Hayford), Christian missionaries in China (edited by Kathleen L. Lodwick) and translated academic works (edited by Anthony S. Kaufmann).
The Eastbridge back catalog was acquired by Camphor Press in 2016 and since then we have also published new titles under the Eastbridge imprint which align with the spirit and themes of the original Eastbridge press.
